Two stage technique for ear reconstruction: A boon!

The older Brent method of ear reconstitution meant use of 4-5 stages for complete ear reconstruction. This meant a lot of days lost at school or work and the attendant expense for each stage. The new method relies on only two stages to reconstruct the entire ear. The shape of the complete ear is made in 1st stage. The sulcus ie, gap behind the ear is made in the 2nd stage, 6 months afterwards. This saves a lot of effort especially for parents travelling from other countries for this surgery. Also, means less pain for the small children and less chances of anaesthesia related complications. That’s why I have switched over to this method at our State of the Art centre located at Mumbai, India.
